Benjamina has always been passionate about impacting people’s health and the environment which was amplified during the completion of her masters in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. A life-long passion for commercial enterprise, coupled with a new-found understanding of our world’s food supply problem, led her to develop Higher Steaks. During her first company she employed marketing experience, gained through initiating the digital marketing division in the PepsiCo/Strauss group joint venture, and startup experience gained as the lead developer of Unibuddy, a venture backed startup, to form an electronic device company focused on creating premiums products for hospitability companies. She successfully sold to FTSE500 companies before realising her goal to align business with her passions. She believes her experiences have led her here; during her training as a chemical engineer she designed a peptide plant, developed new molecules for flavouring with Firmenich and was part of a team solving a solidification problem within Stratasys’ additive manufacturing materials. She has also undertaken legal advocacy training at Columbia University.
