Alexander Hoffmann is a Principal in the New Businesses fund at M Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Merck Group. In his position, Alexander is responsible for investments in cutting-edge early-stage companies in the fields of healthtech, foodtech and deeptech. Previously, Alexander was based in Nairobi, leading the digital strategy of the Merck Group across the African continent. Prior to joining Merck Group in 2014, Alexander has collected extensive experience in tech startups, ranging from fintech to consumer-tech. 

Alexander holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Kingston Business School, UK.
